We have a brand new Performing Arts Academy (IPAA). It is the newest member of the academy network within Invictus, which comprises the Football Academy, Rugby Academy and Netball Academy. All these internal academies offer students a 'value added' opportunity in addition to their own curriculum lessons and utilise the expertise of both internal and external staff.
The IPAA is staffed by the highly skilled Laura Canadine and Lydia Hackett who will be working together with other visiting staff from professional performing arts organisations such as Birmingham Royal Ballet, The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire as well as artists from London west end theatres.
The IPAA will take place on Wednesday and Friday afternoons at Kinver School, where the IPAA will be based in newly built accommodation for Invictus Sixth Form students. Minibuses will be available to bring students from their home schools to the academy. IPAA students can expect to be involved in performances, workshops, extra qualifications (such as LAMDA), and preparation for professional auditions. They will be trained in all three disciplines, dancing, singing and acting.
